Height: varies (he's a ghost) but is usually around 3-4ft tall

Appearence: Nacho used to live back in the old West, when the the Gold Rush happened. Having lived there, his appearance, when seen, looks like a mix between gold miners and cowboys used to wear. Judging by how young he looks, about 9, he must have died when he was fairly young.
He wears a wide-brim hat that often covers his eyes and messy brown hair. Though his color is mostly drained (and he is rather transparent) it's safe to say that he has green eyes as well.
He's seen wearing a white cow print vest, with a black shirt under that with a little skull on it. (Completely not from his time, the shirt, but he saw it at a store once and thought it was cool, so he went with it. He's a ghost, he can wear whatever he wants.)
Along with that, he also wears a red bandanna around his neck.
As for his lower wear, he wears loose-fitting brown shorts and sneakers. (He likes the new style of clothing over the sorts of things people wore in his time.)
He also often carries around a shovel.

Personality: Nacho is a happy little guy, and a little immature. (But who's to blame him? He's only 9.) He's not a melovent ghost, like many other spirits around, but he's the sort of ghost that wants to help peopple...whether they like it or not.
He's often around, asking people if they need help, and gets lonely if there's no one to help or play with. While he can get annoying at times, asking lots of questions, asking people if they need help or want to play, he means well. Generally, he's an easygoing kid who likes to help out. He also has a fascination with baseball.

Likes: Being helpful, baseball, cylinders, marshmallows (though he can't eat them, they still look tasty), gold, etc.
Dislikes: Meanies, being attacked, being mistaken for a bad ghost, multitudes of people, etc.
Biography: Nicholas (dubbed "Nicho" recently) was born about six years before the gold rush in America, so he's a '43 kid. He was raised to dig, dig gold, find gold....gold, money, et cetera. Long story short, when he and his family, along with a hundred other miners, were walking along the road, heading for a river, the site of what was supposed to hold gold...someone up ahead, in the river, shouted, claiming they found some.
People became overly excited, started running for the river, wanting that dang gold.
Poor Nicholas didn't have much of a chance to react. His parents had run up ahead, telling him to catch up quickly, but it didn't register in his brain fast enough until it was too late. The stampede of greedy miner '49ers trampled the nine-year-old.
Needless to say, he died, of course.
Nicholas stayed around that area for quite some time. Turns out, the one who had shouted out the find was bluffing, that they had planted fool's gold to arouse people to going to the area. Had set up a stand, they did, to sell things to the people.
It was an accident, Nicholas understood that. He was sad, but he accepted his fate and moved on, which is a hard thing to do for most spirits.
Nicholas, instead of haunting his death site, like many ghosts often do, he decided to explore. He headed west, until he could no more. When he hit ocean, he kept going, now not restricted by physical weaknesses.
Having gone through much of the Pacific, he walked out through Asia, Europe, through the Atlantic, and back to the US. It took him a while, of course. (He got lost along the way. It gets rather dark on the bottom of the ocean.)
When he emerged on the east coast, everything had changed.
Family: He can't remember his father or mother, but he knows he had a sister named 'Clementine', who died when he was four.
